Our Dustless Blaster works by mixing water and abrasive inside our blast tank. By introducing water, we’re drastically increasing mass and energy the machine is putting out, while suppressing dust.

Our Dustless Blasting system suppresses the plume of dust, allowing you to work almost anywhere with minimal containment. The media that goes into our machine must come out, and it doesn’t disappear into thin air. But compared to sandblasting, the process is essentially dustless because there are so few airborne particles.

For the majority of our jobs, we perform wet blasting. We can use any type of abrasive as long as it is clean, consistent, and sinks in water. 40/70 grit recycled bottle glass is the most affordable and most popular choice of wet blasting media.

Dry blasting can be done with our mobile machine as well. We can use any media that a traditional dry blaster would use.

Our Dustless Blaster will NOT cause warping, because the friction and heat are reduced by the water. Warping occurs when the metal heats up due to friction from the dry abrasive. In fact, the temperature of the metal being wet blasted actually comes down about 10 degrees from ambient.

Think of it this way: If you rub your hands together, they get warm due to friction. But if you rub your hands together underneath running water, they stay cool. The water eliminates the friction.

No friction = no heat = no warping!

Glass and chrome can be damaged by any kind of abrasive blasting. Even dustless blasting. You should always mask off the glass and chrome prior to blasting.

Traditional sandblasting can create hazardous dust levels, and release toxic metals that may be generated from both the blasting material and the underlying substrate and coatings being blasted. Because Dustless Blasting suppresses dust and grounds the abrasive and material being removed, it poses much less risks.
